Richmond is almost famous for it's bike culture. You see cyclists everywhere. All types, shapes and sizes. It almost becomes difficult to tell one type of cyclist from another. That is, until you see the homemade wheel covers and modified ski poles turned mallets strapped to top tubes.
That's RVA Bike Polo.
RVA Bike Polo has existed for close to 5 years. They didn't start competing until last year and quickly made a name for themselves across the nation, eventually breaking international boundaries. Currently RVA Bike Polo is ranked 5th in the world. Yes, that's correct. The World. They are well renowned for their comraderie, positive attitude and high spirits. Most importantly though they entertain. These guys don't mess around when it comes to making up tricks and looking good doing it. They tend to be crowd favorites at every tournament and that's a hard thing to live down. Especially when people consider them the boyfriends of polo.
